Stanley Modern Depictions

Non-Condensing Cars.

This illustration is printed on thin cardboard.  The style of illustration suggests the 1950s.  Cute, but unimportant!

This blotter is part of an advertising series called "Highway of Memories."  It was sold to various businesses, probably primarily in the automotive line in 1957.  Click here to see a similar blotter from the same shop showing a White Steamer.  This Stanley features a wheel lock on its right front wheel.  More on Wheel Locks later!

The Staley twins are pictured on this advertising blotter that cites the Smithsonian Institution as the source of this well known image.  This blotter probably dates from the 1950s as there is no zip code on the address, but maybe earlier, note the six digit telephone numbers.

This is a large mailing card used to promote an early steam car meet.  There is no year date.  Click here to buy a duplicate.

The story of Fred Marriott and The Rocket was often revived.  This card was produced by Gum Products, Inc. in 1956.

Stanley Steamers have been in and out of various museums for decades.  Museums have produced postcards for sale for decades as well, leading to an amazingly large number of postcards featuring Stanley Steamers.  This 1907 Stanley one is from the Edaville Railroad in South Carver, Mass.  It was photographed in September 1964.

This 1906 Stanley, a Gentleman's Speedy Roadster, is or was in Kelsey's Collection of Antique Motor Cars on Highway 41, 1 mi. from Camdenton, Mo.  The lack of a zip code suggest the card dates from the 1950s.
