Ransom E. Olds 1991 Olds, Ransom E. Ransom E. Olds built an experimental 3-wheeled steam car in 1891.[1] He then developed gasoline engines. Olds is credited with being to first to mass produce automobiles, the famous “curved dash” Oldsmobile. Later he started the REO automobile company. [1] Georgano, G.
