Danvers, MA

Also known as the Electronomic, the Hood steam car looked little different from its many contemporaries, but embodied one or two unusual ideas.  The engine had four single-acting cylinders and magnetically operated inlet valves, three small batteries being provided for the purpose.  A flash boiler supplied superheated steam at a pressure of 200 psi.  A simple two-passenger body was standard; the price was $1,000.[1]
