Crompton Motor Carriage Co. 1903 - 1905 Crompton Motor Carriage Co. Worcester, MA The Crompton steam car used 24 separate fire-tube boilers mounted in two groups on each side of the 4-cylinder horizontal engine. Drive was by vertical shaft to the rear axle.
