An Australian 740 - To Restore

This is indeed a "basket case" Stanley Steam Car. She came from Australia and sadly at one point in time was made into a trailer. Like most (all?) Stanley Steam Cars imported into Australia, she sports Buffalo Wire Wheels. While her frame was cut to make the trailer, the cut-off parts are with the car and require only welding. The engine (740 - 3996) was kept inside and is free. The Buffalo Wire Wheels have much of their original paint and are in very solid shape. Otherwise the rest of the car spent far too much time outside in the Out Back! The car is missing its springs, fenders, and splash aprons, otherwise most of it is there, although very rough. It comes with a condenser and condenser shell that did not begin life with it, but are correct. No, the car will not be parted out. Someone sometime will restore this car and keep her intact. There are far too few Stanleys. Since the Serial Number plate is missing, we've partnered with Kelly Williams, the keeper of the Stanley Register, to assign it 23999. She maybe a 1922. When restored, she'll draw attention on the street. She is the perfect project car, a great addition to any existing car collection or the perfect start to a new one! If you or someone you know is interested in owning Rebecca, please call us at 972-661-9672 or email us. We'll be happy to send more information or pictures your way!
